RoboReplay Trophies
While working at NYC FIRST in the summers of 2024 and 2025, I was asked to develop trophies for an upcoming offseason FRC competition. We wanted the design to be based on the game pieces of that year’s game, so that’s where I started with both.
The balls are actually slightly deformed, reflecting how they would look as placed in the game. The trophies are also assembled with well-placed screws and heat-set inserts, ensuring they are durable while preserving the aesthetic. Here was my workflow:
- Onshape for initial designing
- Fusion 360 for adding physical texture
- Blender for realistic deformation and rendering
- Bambu Studio for mesh cleanup and preparation for manufacturing

I also designed a laser-etchable 3D print tag. This was used to etch the names of the winners at the competition, in real time. With multi-color 3D printing, this would not be possible as the print time would be far too long to effectively reveal the winner.
